The drum design provides:

sectors locking in working position, that gives higher tangential and axial rigidity of drum during tires building;
clearances on the sectors joints, not more than 0,3 mm;
radial run-out and end play, not more than 0,3 mm;
higher discreteness of drums width.

The drums are equipped with high reliability lock pins, that operate simultaneously with locating elements of sectors.
